Terms of Service

These terms govern your access to and use of SchemaLab.

Last updated June 13, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using SchemaLab(the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

SchemaLab is an interactive platform for practicing data modeling, including a schema canvas, deterministic verification, authored challenges, and AI-assisted feedback and mock interviews. It is a practice tool. It does not guarantee any interview outcome, job offer, or employment result.

Company-themed tracks labeled “<company>-style” are reconstructions of publicly documented interview formats for practice realism. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sourced from any named company, and do not reproduce official or proprietary questions.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Paid plans are billed through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges for the plan you select until you cancel. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand.

You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change prices on prospective renewals with reasonable notice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: misuse or disrupt the Service; attempt to access other users’ data; scrape, copy, or resell our authored content; circumvent usage limits or access controls; or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

6. Intellectual property

SchemaLab and its authored content, challenges, and verification logic are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. The data models and submissions you create remain yours; you grant us a limited license to store and process them to provide the Service.

7. AI features

The Service uses third-party AI models (currently Anthropic) to provide tutoring, design feedback, and mock-interview evaluation. AI output is assistive and may be incomplete or incorrect. Deterministic checks — not AI — are the authoritative pass/fail signal where applicable. AI feedback is not professional, legal, or career advice.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that practicing will lead to any particular interview or career result.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SchemaLab will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or to protect the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
